Redesigning a Campus Map to Dramatically Improve Wayfinding

Project Summary
During my internship with the Northeastern marketing department, I was tasked with updating the campus map to coincide with the launch of the university’s new visual identity. Beyond redesigning visual elements, I proactively redesigned the labeling and added a grid system, which improves wayfinding for the thousands of students and faculty navigating the sprawling campus.

“Dan was an integral member of my team. During his time with us, he fixed the campus map (which had been previously cryptic and unusable)… and was instrumental in the rollout of the university rebrand across all constituents.”

– Steve Reepmeyer, Creative Director

I also designed new business cards, letterheads, and envelopes using Northeastern’s new set of logo and branding marks.
